Properties:
Lithium Bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide exhibits extremely high thermal and electrochemical stability, with a decomposition temperature typically above 200°C. It provides excellent passivation for aluminum current collectors, preventing corrosion. Furthermore, this lithium salt displays a high dissociation constant and high ionic conductivity in organic solvents.
Application:
It is primarily used as an electrolyte salt in high-performance lithium-ion and lithium metal batteries, especially for applications requiring high temperature, high voltage, or a wide temperature range. It is also frequently used as an additive to construct stable solid electrolyte interfacial films. Furthermore, it is a core component of certain ionic liquids and solid electrolytes.
