Properties and Applications
This product is soluble in water and various organic solvents. It is an important raw material for the new generation of polycarboxylate-based water reducers. Polycarboxylate water reducers synthesized from this raw material have excellent particle dispersion and retention capabilities. They offer high water reduction rates, low cement usage, significant enhancement effects, good durability, no corrosion to steel reinforcement, and environmental friendliness. It can be applied to high-performance, high-strength (above C60) commercial concrete for on-site mixing and long-distance transportation.
