Application
As an inorganic fine chemical, aluminum tripolyphosphate has the advantages of good storage stability and weather resistance, and is an environmentally friendly anti-rust pigment. It can be mixed with alkyd resin, phenolic resin, epoxy resin, epoxy polyester, acrylic acid, melamine resin, styrene acrylic emulsion, silicone resin, polyaniline resin, polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated rubber, etc. to prepare anti-rust coatings, zinc-rich primers, thick paste coatings, powder coatings, organic titanium anti-corrosion coatings, rust-bearing coatings, fire-retardant coatings, heat-resistant coatings, water-based coatings, etc. The color can be freely mixed, and the anti-rust performance is better than red lead, zinc chrome yellow, and other pigments. It has good use effect and is deeply favored by users.
In addition to being used as an anti-corrosion pigment, aluminum tripolyphosphate can also be used in the following fields: (1) Catalyst. Aluminum tripolyphosphate is a solid acid with weak acidity and high acidity. By utilizing the combination and release of hydrogen by the H-O-bond oxygen in its structure, it can be used as a catalyst for dehydration, polymerization and other reactions to reduce the activation energy of the reaction and increase the reaction rate. (2) Refractory materials. Aluminum tripolyphosphate can be used in the manufacture of refractory clay, refractory bricks, and refractory concrete to extend the service life and improve the strength of refractory materials. Aluminum tripolyphosphate can absorb odorous gases such as ammonia and amines, and react with them to generate odorless ammonium salts, thereby achieving the purpose of deodorization. (4) Hardener. Aluminum tripolyphosphate can react chemically with water glass to solidify it. The resulting material has characteristics such as acid resistance and water repellency.
